Hi, I’m Elçin from Istanbul. I’m the coordinator teacher of the Project. I’m 29 and have been English teacher for 8 years . I ‘m interested in languages, cultures, travel and youth projects.  This Project means a lot to me and to my students.  Taking part in these kind of work makes me motivated and more and more open to new cultures and friends.I believe young people have a huge strength to change the world, as they follow technology,read and ask a lot. English is so useful at this point.  With this Project, our students will have the opportunity to get to know each other, to break prejudices  among cultures,improve their English and have lots of experience about different people and countries.  I’m sure that will be a turning point in their lives. I’m looking forward to meeting you and welcoming you in our great city,Istanbul.

My name is Belgin Çallı. I am a philosophy teacher. I have taught for eleven years and worked for seven years in Tayfun Topçu Anadolu Lisesi. It is situated in Çatalca. Çatalca is a town of İstanbul. It is away about fifty kilometers from İstanbul. And İstanbul, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is the cultural center of Turkey. It combines two continents, namely Europe and Asia and extends both Europe and Asia lands. It has a long history. In its long history, it has been teh capital of many empires. In this project I hope to wise up to different cultures and also introduce ours. In this way we can get to know each other and discover that we have common properties arising from just being human. It will increase the sharings and toleration between us.

Hi .My name is Latif Boyacı. I am an English Teacher for fifteen years.I have been working in my school for about six years. I also participate in some different clubs at school. I worked as a counselor at school for three years. Then I worked in the planning board at school.

I am not new to these kind of projects. Two years ago we worked in three e-twinning projects. One was with Romania and we exchanged our cultural differences and it was really fun to work with our Romanian partner. The other project was with a Polish partner and it was about  our countries’ popular meals and again we shared a lot of cultural richness. The last project was with a German partner, but this project did not finish because our partner could not motivate her students and she withdrew from tne project.

I really appreciate the endavours for these kinds of projects. Young people should cooperate with each other to make the world a better and safer place to live.  To this end they have to know  each other. They should get together and check how much they can contribute to the welfare of the world people. In Turkish there is a saying which means “People are the enemy of the things they don’t know”. So we must do something to make our younger generations to know each other and get closer. In this way we can play our parts in this world.

Hi! I am Azize Gülseren Gümüş, my friends call me Seren cause I like it much. I’m 16 but soon I am going to be 17.  I am studying at Tayfun Topçu Anatolian High School. I love my school, schoolmates and of course teachers. I think you should know something about my hobbies. Let me tell you:

I don’t like studying but I love learning. Learning is beautiful. I like listening to music. And usually I prefer foreign music cause in my opinion it’s relaxing when you don’t understand some lyrics you can just focus on the rhythm of songs. And also I like reading too much. By the way I like watching series and Supernatural is one of my favorites. Have you ever watched this?

Meanwhile I want to say something about our project and why I am in it. To me cooperation means sharing something, taking some responsibilities, doing some duties and finally reaching the end with happiness. I think we will do all of this in this project for pleasure. In this partnership I am expecting to learn something about foreign cultures. Trying to teach something about our culture and also traditions. And of course prove my English. Make new friends too.

Hi! I’m Dilek. I’m 17 years old. I live in Çatalca. I go to Tayfun Topçu High School.  I chose language class three years ago. Because my teachers made me love English and now I am at language class. We are learning not only English, we are also learning German. But I’m interested in other foreign languages, especially Spanish. I wonder about Spain.

I want to talk about myself. As far as I said I live in Çatalca. Çatalca is in Istanbul. It’s a sweet, silent and small town. There are a lot of villages in here. So there are lots of natural places. I live in Çatalca but sometimes I go to my village. Because my grandparents live in here. I love it and I generally go there on holiday. I like spending time here.  My village isn’t far from Çatalca. If you come here, we will go there together. I’ve a sister and a brother. I’m the oldest so I must be model with my behaviors to them. We get on well each other. I am glad to help them and we support each other in every way.

There are 16 students in my class. We get on well and we always support each other. Because there aren’t many people in our classroom we can share lots of things so we recognize each other very well. We love learning English. So when our teacher talked about this Project, all of us were excited.

I’m glad to take part in this Project. Meeting people and learning different cultures always make me excited. So I’m eager to work together. Actually I’ve some experiences. Because I had joined in like that Project before and I really enjoyed it. Now I am working for another Project again.

I am getting impatient to meet you. According to my teacher you will stay in our homes. You can be sure that Turkish people are so hospitable and we will be glad to entertain you.

Hi!My name is Ayça.I am 17 years old.It is my senior year in the high school.So it means that i am 12th grade. And I haven’t got any brother or sister.

This cooperation means a lot to me.You can learn lots of things from that.You can have new friends and you can learn about new cultures.

I am sometimes awkward,loud or quiet.It changes from person to person.But the fact that I am always friendly and trying to make people laugh.I am also interested in music and the awkward side of it that I can listen the music whatever its  Italian or English..I can listen it in every language actually.And also I love watching movies.Especially movies which are made by Tim Burton.I love animals so I have got cats.And the most important part about me,as you can see I am very talkative person.

Hi, I am Gökçe Hepgüler.  I am 16 years old and I live in Istanbul. I am studying at Tayfun Topçu Anatolian High School.  I think I am very excitable person but I couldn’t decide if it is bad or good thing yet.  Anyway, I like scuba diving and windsurfing. I think sea is incredible. If I had a chance I would live under the sea. I like watching football match too. Fenerbahçe is my life. I think the best thing I can do in my free time is make a herbaltea, listen to Leonard Cohen and read a psycological novel.
This cooperation is very significant for me. Because we will meet with different people from different countries and I always want to do that. And I think it is very advantageous for us. I always dream go abroad, meet with new people and learn their lifestyle or culture. This cooperation offers us this possibility. I believe I can do very useful thing for this cooperation and I am very enthusiastic about it. If we have conversable friends from other countries we can do very entertaining things together and this time will be very enjoyable and informative for all of us. I’d like to start writing this essay by introducing myself. My name is Serhat Bora and I am 17 years old. I’ve been going to Tayfun Topçu Anatolian High School for 4 years.
To me, it’s one of the best things to study on foreign languages. I’m keen on learning European languages such as English,German,Portugues and so on. This is one the most enjoyable hobbies of mine. I’m interested in football as well. Football is a brilliant game that is played all over the world and it is what makes people feel jubilant.
When it comes to this project, I have to say that I am totally glad to be a part of this very nice co-operation. It will be an interesting experience for me to meet some friends from other countries. I think that co-operation is a fantastic way to achieve something and I believe that this project will provide us something really nice. I have always liked co-operating but there’s no doubt at all that this will be the most exciting one.

-I want to be in this project. Because I want to see new places, I want to meet some new friends. I want to be in abroad. I always want to travel.Also I want to be in this project because I can’t go foreign land with my family because my mum and my dad have got a job. They are working on different places. When my dad had a day off, my mum is working and when my mom had a day off, my dad is working. So we can’t go on holiday. Last summer I was at home all the season and I couldn’t travel enough.
-I love skating, riding bicycle. I like reading poems, novels and funny stories.I can play two or three song with guitar. But I want to learn too much. And I like drawing too. When I felt bad,I love watching clouds. I love listening music.
