We consider that through cooperation, honesty, equal involvement and rights we will be able to define European identity which intertwines cultural heritage, parental education, formal and informal education, ethnic origin, religion, gender, social status.
-To make the participants comprehend value and respect the other nations’ cultural and national identity.
-To make our country’s culture and civilization known
-To give the participants understanding in what real values European identity upholds and promotes.
-To provide insight and respect for their cultural heritage and to contribute to its enrichment for themselves and future generations.
-To prompt the development of social and civic competences.
-To enhance teachers’ and students’ communicative and linguistic skills, through the partenership’ interactions.
-To enrich students’ creative skills.
-To develop organizational and leadership skills.
-To activate teamwork and initiative spirit and entrepreneurial skills.
– To promote tourism.
SUMMARY OF OUR PARTNERSHIP
The aim of our partnership is to understand and respect each partner’s national heritage so that we should be able to build and develop our European Identity.
We will be time travellers who will steer the time machine to make us discover what defines us. After finding out about ourselves, we will direct it towards the other partners to get on so that all of us should travel by it towards the present day. We will agree on what our common goals are so that this machine should be able to travel farther, into the future, bringing with it understanding, tolerance and the promotion of real values.
We want to find out about each partner’s multifaceted identity so, we address to the customs and beliefs when people are born, get married, have children or die, each country’s creative skills (folk music and dances, folk literature, crafts), traditions as basis for modern expression (in literature, music, sculpture), the identity that families instill in children ( depending on social background, mentality regarding education, personal fulfillment, healthy living), the education that our students receive in school (foreign languages, ICT, entrepreneurship) targeting at its improvement so as to give our students access to a better integration on the common European workforce market.
The students will compare themselves to the others and will construct the European identity and citizenship. Our goal is that the participants should broaden their awareness of this linguistic and cultural diversity and of the active role each nationality has, through mutual respect, in the multicultural pattern.
