Sotiria Papadopoulou – Paizanou, 56
Headmistress of Junior High School of Valtino
Theologist
I studied Theology in the University of Thessaloniki and had post graduate studies in School Vocational Orientation in the National University of Athens.
According to my opinion my participation in this project is very important because I have the opportunity to meet colleagues from schools of the European Family. I also have the opportunity to familiarize with the habits of the European people, aiming at a peaceful and friendly co-existence.
Personally speaking, the participation of the school in this project is very important because our students come from a area in the province and they do not have the chance to travel and meet peers from other countries. In this way I believe that any xenophobias and phobias about the unknown will be overcome, once they see that faraway people share the same fears, thoughts, interests and problems.
As for my personal interests, I like to help people whenever they need my help, and with my experience advise the youngers, always approaching them with the warmth and love and sincerity they deserve.
I like to work out, I enjoy dancing, cooking, travelling and I love going to the opera.

Georgia Barouta,38
Teacher of English
I studied English and American Language and Literature in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During my studies I got a scholarship for the University of Westminster in London, England. I stayed there for a year, seizing the opportunity to mingle with the locals and with people from all over the world, London being a multi-national, multi-cultural capital city. There, I learnt to accept the others the way they are, with their National Identity and taking advantage of all those positive things they had to offer. I acquired friendships that last up to now, I am pretty sure that they will last for a lifetime. This project, gives me the opportunity to share these feelings, thoughts and new knowledge with my students. I have always believed that such Programs are neither a waste of time nor a waste of money. We will all get out of this program richer: new friends, new knowledge, new cultures..I look forward to all this.
As you may have guessed, one of the things I love to do is travelling, especially abroad, since I have already seen most of Greece and meet lots of people. I love talking with people, there is always the will to help. I am a fan of the moto ” Healthy in Body ,Healthy in Mind”, so I jog, every day. I also love most types of music and I read literature in my free time.

Dimitrios Kostikas,60
Teacher of Physics
I am a teacher of Physics in Gymnasio of Valtino in Trikala. It is important for me to participate in this program because I am close to retirement and I have never had the chance to meet with other colleagues and see how schools in other European countries function. I would love to meet European colleagues and talk about the difficulties they face in their own countries, especially in this difficult period for Greece and Europe in general.
As for my hobbies, I enjoy talking with people and trying to help them solve any problems they might have to face.

Teacher of Philology
I participate in this program because I am interested in seeing countries, civilizations and cultures different from my country’s. I am expecting to acquire unique experiences and, of course, knowledge. I consider the cooperation with the students a huge benefit, since we are going to exchange ideas and feelings. We will experience the same situations and we will deal with anything together. In this way we will get to know each other better.

Maria Konstadinidou,55
Teacher of Mathematics
This is the first time I have ever participated in a European Program, and I am therefore extremely happy. I believe that this will be a priceless experience not only because of the cooperation with my colleagues in my school, but also because there will be cooperation with colleagues from other countries. I strongly believe that the latter ,apart from the experience, will help us learn about their culture, will contribute to new friendships and familiarizing with the National Heritage of The European People.
As for my hobbies, I enjoy reading books, gymnastics, dancing and singing.
